Set Notes
The 1997 Donruss Limited set was issued in one series totalling 200 cards and distributed in five-card packs with a suggested retail price of $4.99. The set is divided into four unique subsets: Counterparts, Double Team, Star Factor and Unlimited Potential/Talent. The Counterparts subset features 100 double-sided cards with full-bleed photos of two star players who play the same position. The Double Team subset displays color action photos of two star teammates back-to-back on 40 double-sided cards. The Star Factor subset highlights 40 superstars with a different photo of the same player on each side of the card plus unique player statistics. The Unlimited Potential/Talent subset features double-front cards with color photo matchups of a veteran and a rookie. Less than 1100 of each Star Factor card was produced. Judging from case breakdowns provided to us from dealers in the field, the odds appear to be as follows: Double Team 1:6, Star Factor 1:24 and Unlimited Potential/Talent 1:36.
