Known as, THE GOLDEN TICKET!
THE BABE RUTH Cooperstown Collection figure is the single rarest McFarlane figure ever produced. One of only three issued to the public, these were random inserts in 2009 Cooperstown Collection. Announced back in November of 2008 on Spawn.com, the McFarlane website, this anxiously awaited piece was released, and pulled just a few weeks ago at Dale'z Kardz & Komicz in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They then decided to send the figure to Beckett Select for auction on eBay.
Prior to this, the rarest Sports Picks figure was a Teemu Selanne variant in a Winnipeg Jets Uniform. Most of the Jets Selanne figures had his number eight, but 13 of them featured the number 13 the number he wore during his record-setting rookie season. The last #13 Selanne sold for $8,500!
The variation of the Ruth piece is simple. The hat is dark blue, different from the white hat featured on all the packaging. For security, McFarlane has also placed their exclusive logo tape on the back edged of the packaging, to prevent any confusion of this piece with any you might see in a store.
Details of this figure can be found on Spawn.com
Auction ends Sunday, March 29. As of March 24, it had already been bid up over $5,100!
March 27, bidding over $7,700, with 788 watchers!

Why is this so special? It is a low #'ed action figure... I don't know I just can't get into it...

So basically the Card Shop owner got this? Makes me think there is no chance for an average collector to pull this or anything like it.

I collect Cris Carter 836/2316, John Randle, and current Vikings defenders and receivers
