Josh Hamilton is an amazing player who has brought new life to the Texas Rangers. His incredible performance at the 2008 Home Run Derby in Yankee Stadium is a small example of his power, with 28 home runs in just the first round.
Hamilton was originally drafted #1 overall by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. His career was sidetracked by drug and alcohol abuse for almost three full seasons. He returned to the majors with the Cincinnatti Reds in 2007. After the 2007 season, he was traded to the Texas Rangers for Edinson Volquez.
