Topps officials recently released preliminary information and images on the rookie-laden 2009 Bowman Chrome Football, a 165-card set featuring 55 rookies seeded one per pack.
The product is slated for release in late October, when the collecting world will have a much better idea of which 2009 rookies to invest in, and which ones to avoid.
2009 Bowman Chrome promises one rookie autographed card and five Refractors per box. There are 50 subjects in the Rookie Autographs subset, ranging in version from hobby-exclusive Superfractor 1 of 1s to Blue Refractors numbered to 35.
Other hobby-exclusive niceties include 1-of-1 Autograph Printing Plates (200 total) from the 50 Rookie Autographs subjects and Rookie Box Loaders featuring Autographed Bowman Chrome Rookies numbered to 10 and Silver parallel versions numbered to 99.
Stay tuned to Beckett.com for additional information.

Good looking base and auto's. I don't like the rookie card logo though. Seems very dated looking and doesn't follow the design of the card all that well.

Topps has really seemed to give up on this set. I for one wish the auto's were true RC's. There are so many refractor parallels to the set, that another subset with more parallels just waters down the product. And I'm sorry, but stickers on chrome looks terrible. The best thing about Bowman Chrome baseball is how clean and vibrant the autos look. I just think with an October release you can incorporate on-card autos. Bowman Chrome FB has really been stale for the last 4-5 years, maybe longer. It's badly in need of an overhall in my opinion.
