Beckettpedia Help

Baseball is a game played by two teams of nine players on a ninety-foot square ("diamond").  The game is played by players hitting a thrown ball with a stick ("bat"), running along the perimeter of the diamond touching markers ("bases"), and returning to the starting point ("home") to the score points ("runs").

The two teams play against each other - one team's players take turns hitting the ball ("batting team") while the other team ("fielding team") tries to stop them from moving along the bases and getting home ("out").   When there are three outs, the batting team's turn ends ("inning") and the two teams switch roles.  There are nine innings in a professional game.  The team with the most runs at the end of nine innings wins.
