Beckett Continues Security Awareness Program

DALLAS (October 11, 2007) --- Since its inception Beckett Grading Services has prided itself on performing at a high level of consistency and professionalism in all areas of our grading department. We are continually making improvements across a variety of platforms to provide our customers and the industry as a whole with new and innovative products. One area where we continue to focus a tremendous amount of resources and attention is on combating fraud and counterfeiting in the industry.

Over the past several months we have been receiving isolated reports from dealers and collectors about one-on-one transactions where goods did not meet the expectations of one or both of the parties involved. A number of these cases are being turned over to law enforcement at the local and national levels. Beckett Grading Services has pledged to cooperate with law enforcement and will be an active participant in the event it is discovered that our products or licenses were misrepresented or counterfeited. Additionally, our grading department has been alerted to a number of uniquely identifiable cards that have been involved in these transactions, in an effort to track down the responsible parties.

Beckett continues to work to educate all collectors about the many benefits of buying and selling slabbed products from a reputable grading company. In addition we highly recommend utilizing one of the many trust-worthy local hobby shops, auction houses, online auction sites, or Beckett marketplace dealers. Taking sales offline many times leaves either the buyer or the seller without options in the event a transaction is not satisfactory.

With regards to Beckett Grading Services products, the most trusted form of protection for your trading cards is the patented sonically sealed BGS slab. In addition to the physical protection our slabs offer, you also have our commitment to the authenticity of the card encased inside. We offer a variety of other review services that have numerous visible and invisible security features, but these services are not intended to offer the complete long-term protection of the BGS slab.

We will continue to evaluate and enhance when necessary, all levels of our BGS products and we are committed to preventing fraud in the secondary market for all collectible products.
